World Eaters: Loyalist Kharn II

Hello followers!

Here you are, two more pictures of my Loyalist Kharn, it's in a very advanced painting process.

I've undercoated with chaos black and then with airbrush I've highlighted the armour with white, from grey to pure white in the most illuminated areas.

Then using vallejo bronze I've painted all the armour ribets ant the contours. Then I've aplied badab black wash over the bronze areas and I've drybrushed
with bronze again and at the end I've highlighted with a mix of bronze and mithril silver it was a very light dry brush.

For the flesh I've used the same colors of Angron skin, tallarn flesh, then ogryn flesh wash, and highlight with tallarn flesh, adding white to mixture, from 1:3
of white:tallarn to 1:1 mixture for the maximal light.

The helmet has the same armour colors, vallejo bronze, badab black wash and drybrush with bronze. I've decided to not apply the mithril silver + bronze last highlight
layer to the helmet, because I prefer this dark colour on it.

Almost done!! see you!!

World Eaters: Loyalist Kharn

Hello people!

At this moment I'm embarked on a Loyalist Kharn conversion using the original chaotic Kharn.

First of all, the model is in FineCrap, ups sorry... Finecast, and it come with a lot of bubbles and burrs. I've spent a lot of time cleaning it, thank you GW. Well, after cleaning up the model, I've started to remove all the chaotic symbols that I didn't want on it. I've removed all the shoulder pad khorne symbol, the skulls on the knees and the big skull on the belly.

After that I've modeled a new shoulder pad, only the contour, simply shoulder I'll put any world eater symbol from etched brass later (when I buy it from FW).

I've tried to create a world eater symbol in the belly, but judge yourselves on the picture :P. It's my first attempt to create something with green stuff, I think that it's not bad.

I've added an imperial eagle on the right knee and a purity seal on the left one, and tried to create a crest on the helmet, well I think that when it's painted will be another thing (better I mean).

Well the pictures bellow!

Cleaning up

First World Eater belly attempt

Purity seal

Second World Eater belly and the imperial eagle

Contour of shoulder pad (Khorne symbols removed)

The crest

I started to paint it yesterday and I think in a few days I can post the model ended and the progress of the painting.

Thank you! see you soon!

World Eaters Stormtalon finished

Hello folks!

That's it, I've ended the Stormtalon. I've done the base acording to my vision of Istvaan III, I've used cork, the GW sand and vallejo weathering powders.

I've done a welcome signpost, using the bits of the stormtalon and a plasticard rectangle, I've painted with airbrush, green at the background, the white lines using mask tape and the letters are a result of a freehand, you can read "Welcome to Choral City".

Well, nothing else to say, now the pictures below:

The next project, will be a conversion from Kharn, to convert into a loyalist version of him!! and the 3 marines that were in stand by since three weeks!

See you!

World Eaters Stormtalon IV

Hello friends!

Well... I've ended the stormtalon, I'm not proud of it, my paint level is better than you can see in this ship.

I had a several problems using the black weathering powders to recreate the damaged areas and burnt areas around the motors. Once applied the weathering powders I had to repaint all the white areas due to I didn't like the effect on it. At last I've painted the burnt areas with airbrush with black paint.

I think that at the end it has not been so bad, but how I said, I'm not proud of it, the next one will be better.

Maybe I'll buy a stormraven or a stormeagle, I don't know yet, first I want try the stormtalon in combat, and if it's powerfull maybe I have a second one, but I'll paint with diferent colours.

The pictures (sorry for the light, when I finish the base I'll take another pics with a better light):

See you on the next post!
